Soda Label

Here is the soda label I didn't finish.  &Alex kept bugging me about the lines that were around it.  I scanned the picture of the rabbit onto the computer.  Since I was behind in finishing this project I wasn't able to clean up the sketchbook marks behind the rabbit's head.

Michael Jackson CD Cover

We started using Photoshop and this has to be my favorite project.  We were told to make an album cover for our favorite artist.  I am very happy in how this turned out.  I put a lot of work into this one too.  I had the hardest time with the back of the CD. The gradient didn't turn out 98% of the time I was working with it, but I got it in the end.

PIASC T-shirt

Here is the shirt that I designed.  My character, font, and bubble is here as well as other characters from other students.  We got first place in the competition, but didn't place in the T-shirt competition.  Despite that, I am very proud of the work we did.

Melody of Words

Next assignment was to design something for the Melody of Words event at our school.
I used my comic character Ulo alongside a rabbit in this picture.  It was later chosen to be in the PIASC T-shirt competition.


I did this on Illustrator after I scanned the character into the computer.

Nicholson had us choose a business to give a logo to. These are samples of the ones I made.

The Waiting Room Poster

Mrs. Nicholson asked me to make a poster for the school's production of The Waiting Room.

I gladly took up the job and this was what I did. Unfortunately, mine wasn't picked, but I was very happy in how it turned out.

Typography Series: o6_Pattern

Six of six in the series.

As I mentioned in the last post, this was rushed. I didn't have time to make up a good pattern for the assignment due to the hard deadline. So I took another definition from the dictionary.

This displays pattern; one for needlework.

Typography Series: o5_Positive&Negative

Second to last of six.

I personally don't like this one. This along with the last of the series was very rushed due to the hard deadline. I have no idea what I was thinking when I did this.

Fourth of six.

This one was of scale. I took it literally. I really liked how this one turned out.

Three of six.

This one was supposed to be playful...It turned out more cute than playful. I think this is what started Mrs. Nicholson's rage for my work.

This demonstrates congestion. I turned it into the Finals Week poster for the Melody of Words at the school.

This is 1 of 6 typography projects we had to do.

All these were done on Illustrator.

The assignment was to create a picture from the given word using only type. This one was Tension.

We used the Illustrator program and did some masking as well as work with clip-art.
